The Persian Blue Saltfrom Il Mercante di Spezie comes from thousand-year-old mines in Iran where it has been carefully selected.
This particular salt obtains its intense colour from the potassium and sylvinite of which it is particularly rich. It has an intense and savoury flavour that doesn't linger on the palate. The aftertaste is, however, slightly spicy.
It is best used on vegetables, fish and on white meats. Use it also to decorate dishes and to enhance your culinary creations.
